9 Ways To Worldschool From Your Own Home Town

You can worldschool without venturing to far off distant lands. Worldschooling is about learning about the world around you. There are so many things to discover in your own backyard. If you have been moaning about not being able to travel and worldschool with your family, consider worldschooling from your own home town!
1. Visit things you have never been to before - Just the other day, I went into a place that I had never been to before. Even though I grew up in this city. There are so many things in my home town and home provice that I have never done or experienced yet!
2. Meet new people - We meet new people by hosting couchsurfers! We meet people from all over the world.
3. Go to a town you've never been before - Visit a town or city nearby that you've never been to before. Explore what is there. Parks, stores, people.
4. Try new foods - Be on the look out for new places to try foods you've never had before.
5. Volunteer to help people new to the country - Volunteering to help refugees or new comers to your country. Teach a refugee English. Take a new mom shopping
6. Attent local cultural events - I like to find all kinds of local cultural events to attend with my family. Native pow wows, Ukrainian dinners, Romanian dances, Asian events and so much more.
7. Share a meal with someone - www.mealsharing.com is a great way to share a meal with a traveler in your city. Sharing a meal and having a great conversation while eating is a great way to learn about other cultures
8. Explore natural areas new to you - Visit parks and other natural areas, you have never been to before.
9. Take part in National Parks Programs - Take part in your local National Parks Programs. These are great ways for kids to learn about the natural wonders and history around you.
